3. 学生能阅读并理解故事,并且能够按照角色复述故事内容,并试着谈论自己或他人的爱好。
4. 学生能够进一步感知并理解主语是第三人称单数时谓语动词的变化。

引导学生在交际过程中关心他人,了解朋友和家人的爱好。

Step 1. Pre-reading
1. T: Boys and girls, can you tell me what you can do?
S: I can … (ask 3-4 students)
T: Do you know what I can do? I can draw. I usually draw in the park. I can draw beautiful pictures.
T: I think now you know what I like doing.
引导学生说出 I/ You like drawing.(Read several times)
I am good at drawing. (Teach: be good at drawing)
2.T: Now you know I like drawing. I also like reading books in the library. (Teach: also)
I like reading stories in the books. They are interesting. (Teach: read stories)
Step 2 .While-reading
1. Watch and fill in the blanks
T: Just now, I told you what I like doing. Some other children are also talking about what they like doing now. Let’s watch the cartoon and have a look. Try to remember who they are.
S: They are… (Show the children and fill in the blanks)
2. Read, underline and fill
T: But what do they like doing. Do you remember? Let’s read the story and underline the things they like doing in the story. Then let’s go on filling the blanks.
(The students read the story and underline the things the children like doing.)

3. Think and talk
T: First, let’s read the new words and phrases on the blackboard.

(The students choose the answer: A. habits习惯 B. hobbies爱好)

3. Learn the details of the story.
(1) T: From the exercise, can you tell me what Mike likes doing?
S: (引导学生回答)He likes playing football and basketball. /He likes drawing.

S: Yes, he is.
T: How about football?
S: No. (引导学生说:He is not good at football)
T: Let’s read this part after the computer. Then read together.

(2) T: Mike has two good friends, Liu Tao and Yang Ling. Please read the parts of them again, then try to talk about their hobbies in your group.

1.Retell the story
T: Now please choose one part, retell the story in your group. Then try to tell us the hobbies of the children without your book.

T: There is an interesting exercise on P38. Try to finish it. Then you can know what the children like doing.
